I would like to invite prospective parents to join us for our Open Day on November 14. This event is designed to give potential students and families an idea of the type of rigorous and exciting curriculum that can be expected as a student at BASIS International School Guangzhou.

2020年11月14日（周六），广州贝赛思国际学校将举办校园开放日，我诚邀有意向报考我校的学生和家长前来感受我们的校园文化。开放日活动旨在让更多的学生和家庭了解BASIS学生接受到的严谨而令人兴奋的课程体系。

Families will have a chance to hear more about our curriculum and to have a peek inside the classroom at some of our amazing teachers. It is a great opportunity to have a small taste of what we offer our students.

您有机会深入了解我们的课程体系。您和孩子可以走进教室，体验BASIS课堂，并与我们出色的老师面对面交流。这是一次探寻贝赛思教学体系独特之处的绝佳机会。

We will be enrolling students across the grade levels. However, there are limited spots available. If you are interested in learning more about what BIGZ can offer, or want to hear more about our admissions process, please join us on November 14.

BASIS International School Guangzhou is an international school established by BASIS Education Group in 2017. The school's syllabus, curriculum, student evaluation system and teacher arrangements are directly managed by BASIS Global to maintain highly consistent teaching standards. The campus is located in the Science City, Huangpu District. It's a garden-like campus surrounded by lush trees on a hillside.

广州贝赛思国际学校是美国学术名校BASIS教育集团于2017年在中国设立的外籍人员子女学校，学校的教学大纲、课程设置、学生评估系统和师资配置都由BASIS美国总部直接管理，保持教学标准高度一致。学校位于广州市黄埔区科学城，地处半山，绿树成荫，诗意盎然。

The school provides a 15-year consistent education system from preschool education to high school AP courses and capstone courses. Students will have a strong academic foundation and critical thinking ability under the cultivation of American Liberal Arts courses that are unique to BASIS. The school was accredited by the AdvancED in its founding year and approved as an AP, PSAT and SAT test center.

学校开设从学前教育到高中AP课程、AP顶点课程的长达15年的一贯制教育体系。学生将在BASIS特有的螺旋上升且强调深度知识学习的美式文理课程体系培养下，具备稳固扎实的学科基础及批判性思维模式。在创校首年，我校便获得了AdvancED世界先进教育促进组织的认证，并获批成为包括AP、PSAT以及SAT各项考试的考点。

The BASIS curriculum system develops students' critical thinking skills, encourages students to discover and ask questions, and cultivates their problem-solving abilities. The curriculum places an emphasis on academic performance and a unique academic-oriented culture, which empowers students to excel.

贝赛思课程体系在传统教育深入传授知识和技能的基础上，锻炼学生的思辨能力，鼓励学生发现问题、提出问题，并培养学生解决问题的能力。

In the nearly four years since BIGZ was founded, our students have already received honors in many different fields.

广州校区办学近四年以来，BASIS学子们在成长道路上收获了不同领域的多项荣誉。

The competitive team “ZENITH” of BASIS International School Guangzhou earned two trophies in March 2018 at the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship held in Council Bluffs, Iowa, USA. Among 600 other CREATE and VEX Robotics Champions invited to the event, ZENITH earned the Honor Award and Gold Award trophies of Create Open program division.

2018年3月，在CREATE US美国机器人公开赛中，广州贝赛思国际学校VEX机器人俱乐部的代表队“ZENTH”战胜了来自全球30多个国家和地区的代表队，荣获全场最高奖项Honor Award以及团体金奖。

Composed of Eric Chen, Edward Luo, Yingting Wang, and David Wong, four ninth-graders from BASIS International School Guangzhou, the team claimed the championship from the Adam Smith division the 2019 global final of the NEC (National Economics Challenge).

2019年5月，我校四名九年级学生（Eric Chen, Edward Luo, Yingting Wang, David Wong）组成的代表队获得NEC（National Economics Challenge）全美经济学挑战赛全球总决赛Adam Smith 专业组桂冠。

In January 2020, our 6 students (Andy Xu, Angel Li, Emily Qin, Eric Liao, Francis Pan, Jeffery Li) participated in the FBLA （Future Business Leaders of America）competition, and achieved the “National Top Performers” awards in fourteen categories, including management decision making, and case study presentation. Furthermore, Andy Xu, Angel Li, Eric Liao and Francis Pan have successfully advanced to the finals, which will be held in the US.

2020年1月，我校六名学生（Andy Xu, Angel Li, Emily Qin, Eric Liao, Francis Pan, Jeffery Li ）参加美国FBLA商赛（Future Business Leaders of America）中国区决赛，一举夺得决策制定、案例分析等14个类别中的全国最佳表现奖，其中Andy Xu, Angel Li, Eric Liao和Francis Pan还成功晋级了将在美国举办的总决赛。

The BIGZ water polo team participated in the 2020 Guangdong Water Polo Club League (first round of the year) in January and they received high scores in all three games and brought home the championship trophy.

我校水球队于2020年1月参加了2020年广东省水球俱乐部联赛（第一站），在三场比赛中均以高分获得胜利，并最终捧回了桂冠奖杯。

In April 2020, two teams from BASIS International School Guangzhou competed in USAD（United States Academic Decathlon） and achieved outstanding results. The two teams claimed 10 academic awards and 5 non-academic awards in total, with the top-scoring team, Team Asymptote, winning Second Place in their division. Jimmy Luo, the captain of Asymptote, swept the competition with 6 individual awards.

2020年4月，广州贝赛思国际学校在美国十项学术全能USAD中国站比赛中荣获佳绩。9-11年级的两支参赛队伍共斩获10个学术奖项、5个非学术奖项，其中一支参赛队伍——Asymptote队获得了团体总分第二名的佳绩，队长Jimmy Luo荣获个人总分第二名，并获得6个单项奖。

The 6th “Debate Asia” Chinese Debating Championship successfully concluded on August 13, 2020. BIGZ debate team sent three teams that participated in the Group U13 and the Group U16. Both teams achieved outstanding results. Third Place for Team A Group U13, Award for Best Popular Team for Team A Group U13, Fourth Place for Team B Group U13, Third Place for Group U16.

2020年8月，广州贝赛思辩论队派出U13组及U16组三支队伍参加第六届亚洲杯中文辩论斩获佳绩：U13组一队C组季军奖、U13组一队最佳人气队伍奖、U13组二队C组殿军奖、U16组全队B组殿军奖。

In the Australian Physics Olympiad, our students got 3 gold medals: David Wong (national rank 2), Eric Chen (rank 3) and Edward Luo (rank 14). In the British Physics Olympiad, David Wong (top gold), Edward Luo, Eva Xu, Chris Deng (gold), Eric Chen (silver), John Ling and Sam Shi (bronze) were all recognized. In addition, Eric Chen has won a bronze medal in the Physics Unlimited Premier Competition (the international version of the Princeton University Physics Competition), and he has achieved gold in the Senior Physics Challenge (organized by the British Physics Olympiad committee).

2020年，我校学生在澳大利亚物理奥林匹克竞赛中，获得三个金奖：David Wong（中国赛区第二名）、Eric Chen（中国赛区第三名）和Edward Luo（中国赛区第十四名）。在英国物理奥林匹克竞赛中，David Wong（超级金奖）、Edward Luo、Eva Xu、Chris Deng（金奖）、Eric Chen（银奖）、John Ling和Sam Shi（铜奖）都获得了不俗的成绩。Eric Chen在美国普林斯顿大学物理竞赛国际赛中获得了铜牌，同时还在由英国物理奥林匹克组委会主办的英国物理挑战赛（高中）上斩获优秀。

In October 2020, BIGZ students achieved outstanding results in 2020APCC&LCPL Canoe Polo Competition: U15 Boys First Prize, U12 Boys First Prize, U12 Boys Third Prize, U10 Boys First Prize.

2020年10月，我校学生在2020 APCC皮艇球俱乐部锦标赛&LCPL青少年皮艇球联盟赛中获得佳绩：U15 男子桂冠、U12 男子桂冠、U12 男子季军、U10 男子桂冠。
