澳新留学常用银行词汇-新东方前途出国

    对于刚刚抵达澳大利亚和新西兰的留学生来说，必不可少的就是办理当地的银行卡和电话卡。但初到纯英文环境，很多学生难免对专业的银行词汇感到陌生，那在办理和使用当地银行卡的过程中，会有哪些高频词汇、他们又分别都是什么意思呢？为了帮助大家更快更早的适应环境，孙老师特别为大家整理如下：  

Online/Internet Banking----Banking over the internet 

Mobile Banking----Banking using a mobile phone 

Phone Banking----Banking over the phone 

ATM----Automatic Teller Machine. Also known as a cash point or Cash Machine 

ATO----Australian Taxation Office 

BSB----Bank/State/Branch code  You’ll receive one with your account details to identify the 

 branch your account belongs to. 

Debit Card----A card where you access your own money from a linked account 

E-statement----Paperless bank statements that are available online 

Everyday Bank Account----Current account, transaction bank account 

EFTPOS----All transactions conducted at a Point of Sale terminal 

GST----Goods and services tax  Included in the price of all goods and services in Australia. 

IBAN----IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number  It is used for international 

payments to countries in the European Union and some other countries. 

International payments to Australia use SWIFT/BEC codes rather IBANs. 

PayPass™----Contactless payment system by MasterCard® 

PayWave™----Contactless payment system by Visa 

PDS----Product disclosure statement 

Savings Account----A bank account which earns interest on your money 

Superannuation----Pension, provident fund 

SWIFT/BEC Code----An international bank identifier for transferring funds 

Term Deposits----Fixed deposits, time deposits 

TFN----Tax File Number   Provided to you by the Australian Taxation Office.

澳大利亚和新西兰的本地银行有很多，澳大利亚常见的有澳新银行（ANZ Bank）、联邦银行（Commonwealth Bank）、澳洲国民银行（National Australia Bank）、西太平洋银行（Westpac Bank）。新西兰最常用的有澳新银行（ANZ Bank）、新西兰银行（Bank of New Zealand）、奥克兰储蓄银行（Auckland Saving Bank）、西太平洋银行（Westpac Bank）。  

此外，中国银行在澳大利亚的主要城市也开设了银行网点，但普及度还是远远赶不上当地银行的，所以同学们留学生可以需要根据自己的需求及方便性综合考虑选择适合自己的银行。
