疫情期间加拿大学生签证的调整政策-新东方前途出国

6月8日，特鲁多宣布加拿大联邦政府将对现行边境限制进行一定程度的放宽，允许公民或永久居民的直系亲属进入加拿大（没有新冠症状，也没有理由相信感染了新冠病毒）。入境后必须在亲属处自我隔离14天。  

 

此前，即使是一些豁免的情形，非公民和永久居民通常也需要证明他们的旅行是必要的(essential purpose)才能入境加拿大。

The Government of Canada remains committed to protecting the health and safety of Canadians and reducing the spread of COVID-19 in Canada. The Government recognizes however that the temporary border measures put in place to fight the spread of COVID-19, while necessary, have created challenges for some families.  

The Government has therefore been looking at ways to keep families together and support unity while respecting the need for continued vigilance and border measures at this time.  

The Canada Border Services Agency is announcing that as of June 8, 2020 23:59 EDT, foreign nationals who are immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and who do not have COVID-19 or exhibit any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or who do not have reason to believe they have COVID-19, will be exempt from the prohibition on entry to Canada if entering to be with an immediate family member for a period of at least 15 days.  

 

学签只能网申，不能纸质申请  

If you’re applying for a study permit or work permit from outside Canada during the suspension, you must apply online.  

 

可以读网课（包括在加拿大外读），不影响毕业后工签  

If you start your studies in fall 2020, you won’t have time deducted from the length of your post-graduation work permit for studies you complete while outside Canada between fall 2020 and December 31, 2020.  

如果没有全日制读书，依然可以校园内/外工作  

You can continue to work even if COVID-19 has forced you to become a part-time student or take a break in studies if you’re a full-time student and are authorized to work on- or off-campus while you study  

 

必要情况可以工作超过20个小时  

You’re temporarily allowed to work more than 20 hours if you’re a study permit holder in an academic session, eligible to work off campus, and providing an essential service.  

 

魁省续学签可以暂时豁免CAQ  

Students who apply to extend their study permit with a CAQ expiring between April 30 and December 31 should be issued a study permit valid until December 31, 2020, unless the applicant’s passport expires prior to this date.
