工程完工后，还会参与税收折旧流程，为算出工程保险而做出重置成本估算，有必要的话，还要参与各方的调解和仲裁工作。
1.职业发展
工程造价师主要就职在建筑及基建工程领域的公共或私营企业做老板的专业顾问。
他们也时常在在房产建筑的科研领域扮演学者的角色，或者和开发商一起作为项目经理在金融机构工作。
2.学习内容
作为工科与商科的有机结合，工程造价专业并不像土木工程那样，需要学生学习详细的建筑结构和材料用料原理。
它只要求学生能够掌握建筑的基本知识，以便能够对整个建筑项目的用料和投入进行金钱方面的成本计算和统筹管理，并进一步对项目从投标立项到最后完成销售等做策略上的安排。
3.移民评估
在澳洲，工程造价师的移民评估机构是澳大利亚工程造价师协会（AIQS），
AIQS对工程造价师评估要求如下：
1. 学历要求：Quantity Surveying or Construction Management and Economics 本科或硕士学位。
2. 语言要求：如果你有澳洲学历，可以免除语言要求。
